Eye On Video - Applications Open Until April 17th!
Eye on Video, a paid summer apprentice program that began in 2007, offers teens the opportunity to learn the art of filmmaking from local teaching artists and career-skills training to prepare for today’s creative workplace. Apprentices attend class Monday through Friday (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) for 6 weeks.

During the program, apprentices learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, film production, and editing in a collaborative classroom setting. Each apprentice will create their own short film, which will be showcased at the program’s end-of-summer premiere ​​​​​​
Eligibility:

As of 2026, must be currently enrolled in a Greater Hartford high school

Able to commit to full attendance of the program and completion of all projects

NO prior filmmaking experience required!
